Keynote Speaker

Ruth Sims

Ruth Sims is the senior vice president for marketing and research at Noel-Levitz, the consulting company that conducted the 2007 membership survey of P.E.O. Hear Ruth present and explain the results of the survey! We took the pulse of P.E.O. and we want to share the findings with you.

Hear what our membership said about the need for change, why P.E.O. is so meaningful and how P.E.O. fits into the lives of today's women. You will hear that most members say that having a sense of belonging and participating in meaninful philanthropy are the two most important aspects of being a member of P.E.O. Ruth will also explain the recommendations Noel-Levitz has for P.E.O., with the goal of making sure the organization grows.

Recommendations include:

  • Increasing emphasis on activities that foster friendship and philanthropy; decreasing emphasis on regulations and requirements
  • Developing a formal membership initiative that is focused on recruiting younger women
  • Reducing duties and reporting requirements for presidents and officers so they can spend time developing activities that promote belonging and philanthropy.
  • Increasing the frequency of communication among local chapters and with International Chapter

The P.E.O. membership spoke through the research and you told us you are ready for change.

Come learn from Ruth how P.E.O. can make our positive changes to continue our great tradition of meeting the needs of women today and in the future.
